Data Processing Notice

Adria Football Forum 2025

This Data Processing Notice concerns data processing carried out by Adria nogometni forum d.o.o. (registered office: Kajuhova 36, 1000 Ljubljana, Slovenia, registration number: 9912371000, tax number: SI69578389, e-mail: info@adriafootballforum.com, hereinafter referred to as the “Data Controller”) for the purpose of sending newsletters and running Meta advertisements.

  1. Purpose and Legal Basis of Data Processing

The legal basis for data processing is the consent of the data subject pursuant to Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR.

1.1 Applicable Laws

In the course of data processing, we act in accordance with the following legal regulations:

  1. Regulation (EU) 2016/679of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (hereinafter: “GDPR”)
  2. Act CXII of 2011on the Right of Informational Self-Determination and Freedom of Information (hereinafter: “Infotv.”)

iii. Act V of 2013 on the Civil Code (hereinafter: “Civil Code”)

1.2 Platforms Used

The Data Controller uses third-party platforms during data processing that enable newsletter distribution and the display of targeted online advertisements. The following section details these processes and the platforms involved.

1.2.1 Newsletter Distribution

The Data Controller sends electronic newsletters based on the prior, explicit consent of the data subject via the MailChimp platform (The Rocket Science Group LLC, USA). The personal data typically stored in MailChimp include the recipient’s name (if provided) and e-mail address. The system allows recipients to unsubscribe, after which their data is deleted. MailChimp’s privacy policy is available at: https://mailchimp.com.

1.2.2 Meta Advertisements

The Data Controller displays targeted advertisements on Meta Platforms (Facebook, Instagram), operated by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., to those who have previously given their consent. These advertisements use Meta’s advertising tools to target based on users’ interests, demographics, and behavior. However, the Data Controller does not have access to individual user data managed by Meta, and only uses the advertising services. Meta’s privacy policy is available at: https://www.facebook.com.

If a data subject wishes to modify their ad preferences on Meta platforms, they can do so via their Facebook account privacy settings.
